🔦💡LIGHTING💡🔦

HEYYYYYYYYYY…Welcome back!!!!!

Today we’re gonna be talking about the lighting that we used in our project!!!

48th court is set in a high school, so we've opted for natural lighting supplemented with some artificial lighting (there isn’t much we can do about the school lights) to enhance scenes as needed. We're primarily using high key lighting to keep the mood upbeat and cheerful, reflecting the overall tone of a comedy. Natural lighting helps to create a sense of authenticity and immersion, especially in a high school setting, while the artificial lighting adds depth and ensures consistent lighting conditions throughout different scenes.
Our choice of lighting style is a deliberate one, aimed at enhancing the comedic elements of the narrative and maintaining a visually appealing aesthetic. However, if we had a bigger budget or more access to equipment, we might consider incorporating more sophisticated lighting techniques such as three-point lighting to further refine the visual quality and add dimension to the scenes. This could help highlight specific characters or moments, adding layers to the storytelling and enriching the viewing experience. Additionally, with a larger budget, we could explore more creative lighting setups to subtly reflect the characters' psychology or enhance the mood of key scenes, further elevating the overall production value of our comedy project.
